JOLIET – Police say two robbers took sneakers and cash at gunpoint Wednesday.

A 20-year-old man called police at 7:37 p.m. to the 200 block of Fifth Avenue, where he expected to sell a pair of Air Jordan gym shoes to two men, Capt. Tab Jensen said. But when the victim arrived with the shoes, one man pulled out a gun and took the cash and shoes, Jensen said. The victim was not hurt.

A 17-year-old boy was found nearby and arrested on armed robbery charges. He was booked into the River Valley Juvenile Detention Center. Jensen said Thursday that police were seeking a second suspect.
