ELWOOD – One truck driver allegedly pulled a knife on another driver during an argument Wednesday over who had first dibs on an empty cargo container.
The incident happened a little after 1 p.m. along Elwood International Port Road in the BNSF rail yard, Elwood Police Chief Fred Hayes said. No one was injured and no charges were filed. The person accused of pulling the knife on the other driver has been banned from the rail yard, Hayes said. There’s a strict policy against bringing weapons onto the property.
The victim left the scene before police arrived and did not want to press charges, Hayes said.
