Three more sought in bar shooting

JOLIET – Police seek three additional suspects in a bar brawl between gang members Sunday night that left a teen shot.

Police Tuesday sought Anthony Luna, 26, who is alleged to have shot the 19-year-old man in the head and torso, on an attempted murder charge, in addition to aggravated battery and mob action charges.

Nicolas Pisano, 25, and Alejandro Lara-Leyva, 19, are also sought on charges of aggravated battery and mob action, according to Deputy Police Chief Al Roechner.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call police at 815-724-3020, or anonymously call CrimeStoppers at 800-323-6734.

The incident began about 7 p.m. when rival groups encountered each other at Los Diaz Bar & Liquors, 674 Meeker Ave., and a fight ensued, according to Det. Ed Grizzle.

"Just an ongoing confrontation between two gangs," Grizzle said.

Witnesses reportedly told police about 13 men were involved in the fight.

The shooting victim was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, where he was listed in grave condition on Tuesday morning, according to reports.

Shortly after the shooting, police stopped two cars in the area and matched the occupants to witness descriptions, Roechner said. Serafin Castellanos, 35, of Oswego, Anthony Grant, 19, of Aurora, Robby L. Patton, 25, of Aurora, Austin R. Runde, 26, of Aurora, Adrian Vega, 19, of Aurora, and Marcos Briceno, 35, of Joliet, were arrested on charges of aggravated battery and mob action.

Arthur G. Jiminez, 27, of Aurora, was also identified as a suspect and picked up by Aurora police. He was also arrested on charges of aggravated battery and mob action.

Grizzle said Joliet tactical officers located another suspect from the fight on Monday night. Marcus T. Alexander, 30, of the 400 block of Oneida Street, was booked into the Will County jail shortly before 10 p.m. on aggravated battery and mob action charges.
