Brett Eldredge coming to Chicagoland Speedway

JOLIET – Country music star Brett Eldredge will perform at Chicagoland Speedway in September.

The Joliet track announced Wednesday Eldredge will be the pre-race concert act before the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup on Sept. 20.

Eldredge, 29, is a native of Paris, Illinois who attended Elmhurst College in Elmhurst before moving to Nashville to pursue a future in country music, Chicagoland Speedway noted in an announcement of the performance.

"Over the past several years, we've had an opportunity to host some of the premier performers within the country music industry, and we're looking forward to Brett Eldredge continuing that tradition," Scott Paddock, president of Chicagoland Speedway, said in the written announcement.

Eldredge's debut album, "Bring You Back," included top hits "Don't Ya," "Beat of the Music," and "Mean to Me." He released a new single, "Lose My Mind," last week.

The Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup weekend at Chicagoland Speedway runs Sept. 18-20.
