JOLIET – Will County Clerk Nancy Schultz Voots encourages residents to register to vote Sept. 22, which is National Voter Registration Day.
This event has been made possible by numerous organizations with volunteers who will “hit the streets” in an effort to raise awareness of voter registration opportunities, according to a news release from the clerk’s office. Visit nationalvoterregistrationday.org for information. The next election is the March 15 primary.
Registering is always available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Will County Clerk’s Office, 302 N. Chicago St., Joliet. Two forms of identification are necessary; one must have current address.
Those who need to update voter information because of a move can email the change of address to firstname.lastname@example.org or complete the back portion of your voter card and return it to the Will County Clerk’s Office.
