Fans gathered last week at Silver Cross Field in Joliet to watch the Cubs' wild card game. The Slammers will host a viewing party Saturday with the video board showing the Cubs playing in Game 1 of the NLCS.

JOLIET – The Joliet Slammers are keeping the party going in Will County, as Silver Cross Field will host its third Watch Party event Saturday so Cubs fans can watch Game 1 of the National League Championship Series on a video board with more than 900 square feet of live space.

The game is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m., and the Slammers will open gates one hour before the start time. All day-of-event purchases, such as tickets and concessions, must be paid for in cash, according to a news release from the Slammers.

Beers for $2 will be available, and 125 indoor seating spots in the luxury suite level will be for sale until 5 p.m. Friday by calling the Slammers at 815-722-2287.

The $25 ticket includes general admission seating in the luxury suite level and access to a buffet that runs for two hours beginning 30 minutes before game time. A cash bar will be available for beer and other cocktails. The luxury suite level provides a view of the video board but also will have TV’s inside the open suites, according to the news release.

Admission is free for stadium seating, with concessions available on the concourse. Field seating is $5, and fans can bring a blanket or lawn chairs to watch the game on field.

On-field games will be available for kids and adults alike. On-field participants also will be entered into a free raffle. A grill and beverage cart will be available on the field.

For information and to reserve tickets, call 815-722-2287.
