JOLIET – The Joliet Central High School’s show choir, the Show Steelers, will compete in the Herscher Swing & Sing on March 18 at Herscher High School, 401 N. Main Street, Herscher.

The Show Steelers are an extracurricular show choir comprised of fourteen singers and dancers, seven combo members and five stage crew members.

During the competition, the Midwest’s top show choirs and jazz bands come together to compete for the coveted title of Grand Champion.

In addition to the Herscher Swing & Sing Competition, the Show Steelers performances this year include Manteno Magic, the IHSA Contest Show Choir Division and the McKendree Midwest Nationals.

The Show Steelers will conclude their year with the annual musical extravaganza on April 21 in the Joliet Central Auditorium.
