Joliet Central High School to host Community Chess Day on April 1

he Joliet Central High School Chess Team will host its first Community Chess Day on April 1.

JOLIET – The Joliet Central High School Chess Team will host its first Community Chess Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 1 in the Joliet Central High School Cafeteria, 201 East Jefferson St. in Joliet, to raise funds for their trip to Super Nationals in Nashville, Tennessee.

Admission is free, and guests will have the opportunity to learn how to play chess and play other competitive games in a fun, family environment. There will be refreshments prepared for sale during this event and all proceeds will go directly to the chess team.

All donations will go directly to the Joliet Central Chess Team and are tax-deductible.
