PLAINFIELD – The sixth-grade students of St. Mary Immaculate are using the new state of the art STEM lab to learn more about science, technology, engineering and math.

As part of a unit on roller coasters, they completed two mini projects on foundational support for their model which will be made out of paper and tape.

Marbles will be used as the roller coaster cars. This is part of the seven step STEM Explore unit through the Cyber Innovations Center. The unit culminates with the students creating and developing a prototype of a roller coaster model based on STEM concepts learned.
