A Naperville man was arrested in Plainfield Tuesday for allegedly threatening his grandmother with a knife earlier this spring.
Anthony S. Olivo, 22, of the 900 block of Fairway Drive, was taken into custody by sheriff's police on outstanding charges of robbery, aggravated battery and domestic battery. Plainfield Sgt. Mike Fisher said police had been looking for Olivo since April 19.
About 11:30 a.m. that day, police were called to Simo Drive in Plainfield after Olivo allegedly demanded money from the 63-year-old woman.
"(Olivo) was not using medication he's supposed to and wanted to leave the residence after a verbal and physical altercation," Fisher said. "He demanded she give him the money in her purse while he was holding a knife." Another relative notified police who later obtained a warrant for Olivo's arrest.
Olivo, who is also facing marijuana possession charges, is being held in the Will County jail on $250,000 bond.
