Shorewood police are investigating the death of a man who was found last Friday in the Kipling Estates subdivision.
Police responded around 4:45 a.m. for a welfare check on a male who appeared to have fallen from his bicycle in the parkway in the 800 block of Diamond Head Drive West. The Shorewood Police said it appears to be an isolated event and that there is no immediate danger to the public.
The man appears to be in his 20s.
Will County Chief Deputer Coroner Kevin Stevenson said on Wednesday that the initial autopsy did not reveal any injuries to the man's body. The coroner's office now is looking for signs of a possible drug overdose. Official toxicology reports won't be completed for another four to six weeks.
The case is an active death investigation.
