JOLIET – Brennan M. Schultz, son of Mark and Cathy Schultz of Joliet, has achieved Boy Scouting's highest rank, that of Eagle Scout.
He was awarded the Eagle Scout rank on May 23. His Eagle Scout project was the construction of a gazebo for St. Edward’s and Christ Episcopal Church in Joliet.
Schultz, 18, is a member of Boy Scout Troop 15, sponsored by St. Paul’s Catholic School under the leadership of scoutmaster Ben Venegas. Schultz has been a member of Troop 15 since 2010, serving in most positions of leadership in the troop, including senior patrol leader. He is a member of the Order of the Arrow.
Schultz graduated from Joliet Central High School this past May and will attend Bradley University in Peoria beginning this fall.
