BOLINGBROOK – Bolingbrook High School’s Fine Arts Department announced its annual Student Art Show winners.
Nicole Bond’s mixed media entry, “Topography,” was named Best of Show.
First place in the drawing category went to Sara Kroczyk for her untitled soft pastel piece featuring hot air balloons.
Other first-place winners: painting – Daisy Gomez, “Abundance;” digital art – Ronald Gonzalez, “A New Perspective;” sculpture – Madison Shackelford, untitled glazed earthenware; and mixed media – Ali Almousawi, “Water.”
Art Teacher’s Choice awards went to Joshua Langham, digital photograph; Ellis Qualls, glazed earthenware; Bond, mixed media; Tiana Cvetko, glazed earthenware; Jenna Mraz, digital photograph and painting; Sumia Gull, earthernware clay; and Sam Dominguez, earthenware clay.
Student’s Choice awards went to Bond, floral; Abigail Bozarth, drawing and marker; Almousawi, mixed media; and Julian Herrera, digital photograph.
Receiving honorable mentions were Shawn Dunhill, construction paper and glue; Deidre Adams, charcoal and pastel; Hazel Maradey, pastel; Greer Jimenez, construction paper and glue; Mason Dudaryk, mixed media; Lily Maluk, soft pastel; Bozarth, layered acrylic; Astrib Carbajal, digital photograph; Gustavo Perez, earthenware clay; Lauryn Wright, watercolor; Dominguez, earthenware clay; and Mraz, digital photograph.
