COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – USA Volleyball has announced that Plainfield Central sophomore Taylor Landfair will play for Team USA at the FIVB Girls' U18 World Championship from Aug. 18 to Aug. 27 in Rosario and Santa Fe, Argentina.

Landfair is among 12 players named to the team and is one of two incoming sophomores. The 6-foot-4 outside hitter made the team after training at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and competing in the USAV High Performance camp.

Team USA is pegged as the top-seeded team and will compete in Pool B to start the tournament. The U.S. will complete against Russia, Belarus, Brazil and Mexico in pool play.

At Central, Landfair totaled 357 kills, 184 digs and 52 blocks in her freshman season. She became the first freshman to play for Sports Performance Volleyball Club's 18-1 team.
