According to Leslee Kempis, assistant manager of the shelter's cat room, George is a quiet cat and doesn't attract attention to himself when visitors come to check out the cats. At age 7 now, George is content simply to hang out on a bed.
He's also not a particularly cuddly cat, Kempis added. He's not aloof; he's simply not keen on tons of affection.
Kempis felt George would make a great pet for a senior citizen as he's healthy and doesn't require much care or attention.
"Give him food, water, a bed and a window and he's good to go," Kempis said.
