Democratic gubernatorial candidate J.B. Pritzker is going to open an office in Joliet on Sunday.
Pritzker's team sent out an email with a link to RSVP for the opening of the office at 210 N. Hammes Ave., suite 203 in Joliet.
"We're so excited to build a grassroots campaign across the state," said campaign organizing director Kyle Sutton in the email. "Every day, our organizing team is working hard to make sure we're talking to voters across Illinois about why J.B. is the best candidate for governor."
The billionaire Pritzker is a venture capitalist from Chicago and has made multiple visits to the Joliet area. Pritzker himself also will be participating in a candidates forum earlier that afternoon at 1 p.m. at the IBEW Local 176 with other Democratic candidates. The email did not state whether or not Pritzker will be at the campaign office opening.
There will also be opportunities to sign up to volunteer at the opening. The event is open to the public and is scheduled for 3 p.m.
