JOLIET – Seventy World War II-era military vehicles will roll into downtown Joliet on Saturday morning.

The Joliet Area Historical Museum will open at 8 a.m. to provide a viewing area of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association Route 66 Convoy, the city of Joliet said in a news release.

The convoy is scheduled to arrive about 8:30 a.m. The Houbolt Rooftop Terrace at the museum will open to the public for viewing the convoy.

Regular museum admission rates at the museum will be in effect. The museum charges $7 for adults, $6 for seniors 60 and old and for full-time students with valid school IDs, and $4 for children ages 4 to 12. Children 3 and younger get in free.

Great American Bagel in Joliet will provide complimentary breakfast to the first 25 attendees.
