2nd Annual Pints and Pork Challenge presented by Manhattan parish

MANHATTAN – Celebrate craft beer and gourmet pork at the 2nd Annual Pints and Pork Challenge from 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 30, resented by St. Joseph’s Parish, 55 W. North St. in Manhattan.

Craft breweries will showcase their beer and a variety of restaurants will feature the best barbecue around. Each brewer brings two craft beers to sample.The pit masters will each cook 40 pounds of pork. Attendees sample the offerings from seven teams made up of breweries and pit masters and then vote on their favorites.

The Pints and Pork Teams include 350 Brewing, Arrowhead Ales Brewing, Oak Park Brewing Company with Carriage Greens Country Club, Noon Whistle Brewing Company with The Manhattan Fire Department, Evil Horse Brewing with Holy Smokes, Skeleton Key Brewery paired with The Irish Pig, Werk Force Brewery and Road House 52 Restaurant and Bar, and Soundgrowler Brewery.  

Prizes awarded for best beer, best pork and best beer and pork pairing. Enjoy bags games, split the pot raffle, bonfire pits under the stars and music by acoustic singer/songwriter Casey Moss.
