To the Editor:
Neo-Nazis, KKK, white supremacists, antifa and BLM are all hate groups that should be condemned; however, antifa is a bigger danger than neo-Nazis.
Neo-Nazis got a permit to march in Charlottesville, antifa showed up, police were ordered to stand down and violence occurred as both sides were ready to fight. Trump correctly blamed both sides.
Liberals wanted Trump to specifically condemn white supremacists, which he soon did. Hypocritical liberals still have not condemned antifa.
Antifa is short for anti-fascist. They are self-proclaimed anarchists, meaning they reject any government or laws. They say they oppose fascism, which is strong dictatorial government, but fail to realize the socialists they support are for strong dictatorial government.
Antifa is supportive of socialist/progressive ideology and violently attacks conservatives, intimidates conservative speakers and disregards free speech rights. Ironically, they behave as fascists, strongly enforcing their views. They are a bunch of left-wing thugs and that might be why liberals like them.
Antifa is anti-free markets and supposedly anti-racism, which is why many misinformed liberals support them. They were part of the “occupy Wall Street” protest. If they don’t have white supremacists to attack, they attack Trump supporters, innocents, BLM, police and even reporters.
They are violent and lawless. Antifa and BLM enjoy support from liberals, even when they advocate violence against the police. Liberals not condemning antifa and BLM is a moral failure.
There are very few neo-Nazis, KKK and white supremacists, and they cause little trouble unless provoked. They have little funding or political support.
Antifa has instigated violence in several places and plans more. They have strong funding and political backing, including some officials ordering police to stand down allowing antifa to attack conservatives.
Antifa’s violence and shutting down free speech is a bigger danger than neo-Nazis.
