PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP – Police continue to investigate the shooting of a Plainfield Township woman that occurred sometime early Saturday.
The 35-year-old woman was shot in the head and abdomen. Talking with her has been difficult, said Will County Sheriff's Lt. Dan Jungles.
Jungles said Tuesday there's been "very little change" in the woman's condition.
"We're still having communication problems," he said.
The woman was shot sometime in the early morning hours Saturday, police said.
She was last seen by family members at the home in the Crystal Lawns area at about midnight. They then found her bleeding from her injuries in the morning.
Police were contacted at 8:50 a.m. by paramedics who were called to the scene to treat the woman.
The shooting occurred at the woman's home in the 2400 block of Meridian Drive.
