JOLIET – Dale Hansen always has tried to challenge people to read, pray and grow spiritually, in order to know God better.
However, he realized that they are caught up in their busy lives. He tried to keep his studies simple, a little bit at a time. He reads and learned by focusing on a few Bible verses at a time. He decided to write a weekly devotional with an “overview,” “focus” and solid and doable application.
The result of which is “One Week at a Time: Grounded and Growing Through His Word.”
The book is a weekly and not overwhelming Bible devotional that allows readers to grow in knowing God through focusing on a weekly application. Many of the applications will challenge them to more Bible reading and prayer, in order to grow spiritually and to bring changes and adjustments to their lives. Each devotion has specific verses to read, is concise and has a doable application.
Hansen is retired and spends his time reading, running, mentoring others and watching his grandkids. He enjoys leading small Bible study groups, which he has done for more than 30 years. He is married with two married daughters and three grandsons. He lives in Joliet.
Hansen’s book is available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
