A threat over social media reported on Thursday night regarding the Lockport Township High School Central Campus was found to be not credible or viable.
The Lockport Police Department investigated the threat according to Lockport Township High School District 205, which put out an announcement on its website about the matter.
"We understand that through social media such concerns can spread quickly, raising individual's levels of anxiety," the statement read. "It is important to know that we can assure students today that there is no threat and the safety and well being of our staff and students is a priority."
