The community is invited to learn more about electric utilities and smart home tools in an interactive program to be held at Troy Middle School.
The event is from 6 to 7 p.m. Dec. 13 at 5800 W. Theodore St. in Plainfield
TMS science club students will act as energy docents and lead community members through fun, hands-on displays and experiments designed to explore electric utility strategy and planning, as well as how to use smart home implementation tools.
TMS science teacher Barbara Will-Henn said the interactive displays will be friendly to all ages, including children.
The Smart Grid Community Science Interactive Night is offered in cooperation with a grant from the Illinois State University Smart Grid for Schools program.
