Dogs needed for Naperville hospital therapy program

NAPERVILLE – Edward Hospital is seeking more dogs for its Animal-Assisted Therapy program.

To be considered, visit www.eehealth.org/ways-to-give/volunteer/animal-assisted-therapy. Applicants will be contacted for pre-screening.

Dogs that meet requirements will be scheduled for temperament testing between 4 and 9 p.m. March 7 or March 8 at the Edward Sleep Center, 27555 Diehl Road in Warrenville.

Dogs and their handlers selected for the program must attend mandatory training at Edward Hospital, 801 S. Washington St. in Naperville from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on March 21 and 8 a.m. to
5 p.m. April 7 and April 8.

To be considered, dogs must sit/down/stay/recall/leave-it on command. Walk loosely on a leash without pulling, get along well with other dogs and perform required commands without treats
