PLAINFIELD – Thousands of anti-abortion advocates participated Jan. 14 in the March for Life in Chicago.

Members from St. Mary Immaculate Church in Plainfield were among them thanks to donations from the Council of Catholic Women and Knights of Columbus to defray the cost of bus transportation.

Marchers carried signs with pictures of Mary and Pope Francis and wore blue fleece scarves to identify the SMI group. The March in Chicago was just a little over a mile.
