FRANKFORT – Five candidates for Illinois Attorney General will be participating in a speed dating-style meet-and-greet at the Frankfort VFW Post 1493 on Friday.

Democratic candidates Scott Drury, Sharon Fairley, Aaron Goldstein, Jesse Ruiz and Pat Quinn will be present. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with all of the candidates there and get their questions answered.

Drury, D-Highwood, is an Illinois state representative in the 58th District. Fairley is a former assistant U.S. attorney. Goldstein is a former public defender. Ruiz is an attorney and former State Board of Education chairman. Quinn served as the 41st governor of Illinois from 2009 until 2015.

The Southwest Suburban Activists are organizing the event. All eight candidates for the Democratic nomination for attorney general were invited according to the group’s Facebook event.

The meet and greet will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The Frankfort VFW Post 1493 is located at 22057 Pfeiffer Road in Frankfort. There will be a cash bar and Ofrenda Food Truck will be on site.
