A 23-year-old Yorkville man died early Wednesday morning after the motorcycle he was riding struck a light pole on southbound Interstate 355.

Emergency crews responded just before 3:55 a.m. Wednesday to mile marker 19.5 on I-355 in Lisle for a reported crash, according to a news release from the Illinois State Police.

Investigation revealed Nicholas A. Rodriguez was traveling east on Interstate 88, when he took the ramp for the I-355 exit to Ogden Avenue. The motorcycle lost control and hit a light pole past the toll booth, police said.

Police continued to investigate the incident later Wednesday morning, causing delays.
