Why Moore was selected: The Tigers sophomore won the 100, 200 and 400 and allso ran on a winning 4 x 100 relay to help his team capture the Southwest Prairie Conference championship. His :48.41 in the 400 was the best time in that event in Illinois this season.
The Herald-News sports writer Curt Herron talked with Moore.
Herron: What do you like the most about track and field?
Moore: I love the atmosphere and competing against other top athletes. And it's very fun because you get to know a lot of people.
Herron: What do you like the most about this year's Tigers?
Moore: Everyone on the team is like a brother to me. And the coaches in our program are really fun to be around.
Herron: What do you like the most about competing for Plainfield North?
Moore: I love the coach here and representing my school and my family.
Herron: Who's your favorite sports team and athlete?
Moore: The Dallas Cowboys. My favorite athlete is Michael Jordan.
Herron: Who's someone that you would like to meet?
Moore: LeBron James.
Herron: What's your favorite restaurant and type of food?
Moore: Olive Garden and probably pasta.
Herron: What are your favorite classes in school?
Moore: My favorite class is either honors chemistry or math.
Herron: What's your favorite type of music and artist?
Moore: I like '90's rock music. And my favorite artist is probably Tupac.
Herron: What's your favorite TV show and movie?
Moore: Last Chance U on Netflix. And Black Panther.
Herron: What do you like to do in your free time?
Moore: A lot of times I just hang out with my family or listen to music.
Herron: What's the most interesting place you've been and where would you like to visit?
Moore: Probably Jamaica. And I'd like to visit Dubai.
