Former Glendale Heights man arrested in alleged Bolingbrook sex abuse case

A former Glendale Heights pinball designer facing a child pornography charge was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a girl for about seven years in Bolingbrook.

On Thursday morning, John T. Trudeau, 70, of the 100 block of East Avenue in Nevada, Iowa, was arrested on charges of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

He was booked into the Story County Jail.

Police received a report of the alleged sexual abuse committed by Trudeau on Dec. 1, said Bolingbrook Police Lt. Anthony Columbus, who added the abuse took place at a residence on Sunshine Drive in Bolingbrook.

Trudeau allegedly assaulted a girl between Sept. 3, 1993 and Sept. 2, 2000, according to a criminal complaint. The complaint alleges Trudeau started abusing the girl, who is a family member, before she turned 13 years old.

The complaint alleges Trudeau held a “position of trust, authority or supervision” in relation to the victim.

Bolingbrook police issued an arrest warrant for Trudeau on Wednesday that carried a $200,000 bond. The warrant lists him as unemployed.

On Aug. 24, Trudeau was arrested by Glendale Heights police and charged with possession of child pornography. Trudeau allegedly had computer equipment containing numerous files of child pornography, according to a Glendale Heights police.

He was a designer for Stern Pinball, according to This Week in Pinball.
