Will County Habitat for Humanity participated in national Women Build Week last month, which encourages women to spend at least one day helping families with housing needs.
The branch collaborated with four other Habitat for Humanity organizations, according to a news release.
“Every helping hand makes a difference ... to help families in Will County have a decent place to call home,” said Nicole Murray, executive director of Will County Habitat for Humanity.
The organization will follow the build with another event within the next three or four months, in conjunction with Harrah’s Casino’s 25th Anniversary. It will be a day tagged “Trading Places,” in which women will be doing the construction, and men will provide hospitality.
