Actively registered voters in Will County should be receiving their new voter registration cards in the mail by the end of July.
The Will County Clerk’s Office is required to issue a new card to each registered voter every two years. Voters are not required to present the card in order to vote on Election Day.
The card contains information, including the voter’s township and precinct, polling place and the units of government for which they are entitled to vote. There also should be a change of address form if the voter moved to Will County, information to request a vote by mail ballot and an application to serve as an election judge.
If a card is received for a previous resident of the address, the current resident can write “return to sender” on the card and mail it back.
