A 34-year-old Chicago man died Sunday night after the motorcycle he was riding left the roadway and struck a "fixed object" in Romeoville.

Jiles Q. Jones was pronounced dead just after 9:15 p.m. Sunday on Crossroads Parkway about 150 feet east of Pro Logis Parkway in Romeoville, according to a news release from the Will County Coroner's Office.

It was not immediately clear how or why the motorcycle left the roadway, and an autopsy was scheduled for Monday.

Romeoville police are investigating the incident.
