Members of the Adler family, along with former U.S. president and first lady Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, will travel Friday to Indiana to build or improve 41 homes and honor the late Will County Habitat for Humanity co-founder Joe Adler.
Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County, Indiana, is hosting the 2018 Carter Work Project, a continuation of the Carters’ dedication to the nonprofit, according to Habitat for Humanity’s website. Volunteers will be working in Mishawaka and South Bend. Adler died in early June but had built alongside the Carters previously.
“We look forward to welcoming President and Mrs. Carter,” said Jim Williams, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County.
