The April 2, 2019, consolidated election will feature several local positions on the ballot including three positions on the Joliet Junior College Board of Trustees.
Blank nominating papers for prospective Joliet Junior College Board of Trustees candidates are already available.
Those interested can get them on the Joliet Junior College Board of Trustees web page, under the consolidated election tab.
Papers are also available in room A-3107 on Joliet Junior College’s main campus from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The nominating papers by prospective candidates can be filed from Dec. 10 through Dec. 17 in the local elections official’s office at !-3107 on Joliet Junior College’s main campus. Papers can be filed from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. except on Dec. 17, when the office will be open until 5 p.m.
They may be filed either in person or by U.S. mail. Note that filings made by mail must be received no earlier than the opening of the office on Dec. 10 and no later than 5 p.m. on the last day for the filing period.
Objections to nominating papers may be received in the local elections official’s office on the main campus from Dec. 18 through Dec. 21 and on Dec. 27 at the Joliet Junior College Police Office located at G-1013, also on the school’s main campus.
Trustees serve a term of six years. The Joliet Junior College Board of Trustees consists of eight members. Joliet Junior College’s main campus is located at 1215 Houbolt Road in Joliet.
