Minooka Community High School District 111 is proud to announce the achievements of two of their World Languages teachers.
Teachers Rick Undesser and Hannah Keppner were both recognized on Oct. 26 at the Illinois Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages conference. The conference was held at the NIU Naperville Conference Center in Naperville.
Undesser was awarded the Distinguished Service to Foreign Language Teaching Award for exemplary teaching and training. Undesser was nominated in Category 1 that lists educators whose exemplary teaching has provided inspiration to large numbers of foreign language students or teachers. This category includes persons who have distinguished themselves in teacher education and as in service trainers, as well as in the actual teaching of languages and cultures.
Keppner was awarded the ICTFL Award for New Teachers of Foreign Languages. This award recognizes individuals who have recently entered the foreign language teaching profession and who show outstanding promise of becoming capable teachers of foreign languages, including English as a Second Language.
