St. Edward’s and Christ Church, Joliet, is pleased to announce its annual Taize’ Service of Healing and Remembrance for All Saints/All Soul's Day at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 at the St. Edward's campus in Joliet.
The campus is located at the corner of Midland and Campbell Streets, two blocks north of Jefferson, and one block behind the Jefferson Street Jewel Store. The Taize will be preceeded by a light meal of soup and bread beginning at p.m. in the parish's Christ the King Hall.
This service is the first of the parish's traditional Taize services of the liturgical season. The Rev. Richard Lundgren will officiate. Taize' in general is distinguished by beautiful music, periods of silent meditation, and prayer. There is no Eucharist, no homily given, nor any offering taken at this service.
As part of the All Saints/All Souls Taize, the names of those faithful loved ones who have passed on, and who are included on the Book of Remembrance will be read. Those who wish to have the names of dearly departed loved ones added to this Book, should send the names to be added to the church on or before Nov. 13.

In addition, those desiring healing for themselves, or for a friend or loved one, are welcome to attend. There will be laying on of hands and anointing with oil for healing of mind, body and spirit. Anointing will also be available for those who cannot be physically present.
Residents from the Kendall County "Christ" campus area, are also invited to attend.
