Jason Bonham, son of legendary rocker and original Led Zeppelin founder Jason Bonham, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Rialto Square Theatre.

Tickets for Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening are on sale now.

Bonham has been around legendary rock music since birth. That’s what happens when you are the son of a rock icon. Jason spent much of his childhood playing the drums for family friends like Jimmy Page and band members from Bad Company.

Already skilled on the drums at age 5, he signed his first recording contract with Atlantic Records at 17. His band Air Race opened for such super groups as Queen, Meat Loaf and AC/DC.

In 1989, he formed his own band, Bonham. The group earned a gold record for their single, “Wait for You,” off their first album, “The Disregard of Timekeeping.”

Bonham occasionally filled in for his dad after his death in Led Zeppelin’s many public appearances, including the first-ever reunion of Led Zeppelin at the 40th anniversary of Atlantic Records, and in their induction to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.

In December 2007, Bonham played drums in the much-anticipated Led Zeppelin reunion concert at London’s O2 Arena with surviving members Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Robert Plant.

After Led Zeppelin’s induction to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Bonham recorded a tribute album to his father, “In the Name of My Father – The Zepest,” which featured the songs of Led Zeppelin.

Bonham has dedicated his life to honoring the memory of his father and his contributions to rock music by traveling the country with Led Zeppelin Evening, the ultimate tribute show to one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

Tickets are $73.50, $53.50 and $43.50 through the Rialto Square Theatre Box Office at 102 N. Chicago St. in Joliet, online at RialtoSquare.com or by phone at 800-745-3000.
