The Edward Foundation has named Brett Skeen, a resident of Naperville, as its new executive director.
The Foundation is the charitable fundraising organization for Edward Hospital.
Skeen most recently was executive director of the La Grange Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Prior to that, he served as Vice President with CCS Fundraising, an international fundraising consulting firm.
Skeen’s 20 years of experience in fund development operations has focused on campaign operations and major gifts, and also includes nonprofit management, board and staff development, strategic planning and marketing.
The Foundation’s last major event and fundraiser, its 28th annual gala, The Big Gig: Swing, was held on Saturday, Oct. 13 at The Westin Hotel in Lombard.
The Edward Foundation was established in 1990.
Since then, it has raised more than $49.9 million in its mission to support Edward Hospital’s community health care initiatives, invest in the most advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, recruit world-class medical professionals and deliver the highest quality care to almost 1.7 million patients within the area it serves.
