The Romeoville Village Board approved a resolution authorizing a water bill relief credit for residents next year.
The credit will be reflected on residents’ January water bills, according to a news release from the village. This is the eighth year in a row the village has been able to provide a credit. In total, including this year, credits exceed $1.24 million.
“The ability for us to issue such a credit, especially for the eighth consecutive year, means things are going well in the village,” Mayor John Noak said. “We’re thrilled to be able to give back to residents again this year.”
The village’s Water Bill Relief program applies only to single-family housing units within the village’s corporate limits and excludes any second meters.
