Sister Jean Okroi and Visitation and Aid Society honored at the event
The 29th annual Franciscan Autumn Feast took place Oct. 28 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club in Bolingbrook.
The feast is the only major fundraising event held to raise funds for the Sisters’ ministries including their retirement fund. During the event, the Sisters bestowed two awards.
Various raffles were held throughout the afternoon, such as a basket raffle, gift card, cash and 50/50.
The silent auction offered getaways to Hawaii; Marco Island, Florida; and the Osthoff Resort in Elkhorn Lake, Wisconsin, as well as Coach purses, two TVs and penthouse suite tickets to the Chicago Bulls-Toronto Raptors game.

In addition, harpist Niamh O’Brien played during the dinner and D’Arcy Motors provided a vehicle to transport food collected during the event and delivered to St. John the Baptist food pantry in Joliet.
