To the Editor:
L.J. Converse’s letter of Dec. 2 confused the political left with the right. The left is for strong government control while the right is for no control and is called anarchy. The American Constitution is in the middle with a strong federal government for a limited list of items and separation of powers to prevent socialism and dictatorship.
Nazis were national socialists. Nazis, socialists, and communists are all on the left and are for strong dictatorial fascist government. They are for gun control, use secret police, are anti-God, use youth organizations, and use evolution to justify their ideology. The main difference is Nazis believe people are genetically controlled while communists believe they are environmentally controlled.
White supremacy in America was originally the KKK, which was composed of Democrats. Today there is a very small group of white supremacists who use the swastika, but are not Nazis. They do not favor strong government or gun control. They do not go out and cause trouble but do fight in their defense. They reject conservatism and should not be considered alt-right.
Converse is also confused about God. Yes, there is only one God and we have free will, but God will hold us accountable for our beliefs and actions. God does not tolerate us giving praise to whatever god we choose. The god worshipped by Muslims said he wants Muslims to subjugate or kill non-Muslims especially Jews. Why would a Rabbi worship the same god?
Converse says she knows Christians who do not believe in the Trinity. If you do not believe in the Trinity, Jesus being God and bodily raised from the dead, you are not a Christian. She should also realize that Joan of Arc and Christian martyrs were not witches. There are no good witches.
