State Sen. Sue Rezin, R-Morris, was reappointed to the Illinois Senate Republican Leadership team last Tuesday.
Senate Republican Leader Bill Brady, R-Bloomington, reappointed Rezin to assistant Republican leader, a position she has served in since 2015, according to a news release. In the role, Rezin will continue to work closely with Senate Republican leadership on legislation.
They will evaluate concerns on property tax reform, reducing state spending, cutting back on the overall tax burden on residents and building pro-business reforms to attract employers.
“Sen. Rezin is a dedicated public servant and a proven leader who brings vital experience to the leadership team,” Brady said in the news release. “As we navigate the waters of this new General Assembly, I’m proud to serve with Sen. Rezin.”
Rezin and her husband live in Morris and have four children, according to her website.
