An 18-year-old Romeoville man was arrested on charges of aggravated battery to a police officer, fleeing, resisting arrest and driving under the influence.
About 4 a.m. Friday, Brayden Dzimidas, 18, of the 600 block of Sherwood Court was booked into the Will County jail on charges of driving under the influence, reckless driving, driving between 15 to 20 mph above the speed limit, fleeing in an attempt to elude an officer, aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting arrest.
Romeoville police Cmdr. John Ferdinardo failed to respond to messages about Dzimidas’s arrest Monday.
Dzimidas is being held on a $75,000 bond. He’ll need to post 10 percent of the bond to be released from jail.
According to jail records, Dzimidas has a juvenile burglary and resisting arrest case from 2015.
He was scheduled to appear at the River Valley Juvenile Detention Center at 9 a.m. on Monday and at the Will County Courthouse at 1:30 p.m. for a bond hearing.
