Drumapalooza to benefit Plainfield High School-Central Campus

Celebrate all things percussion during the 2019 Drumapalooza concert to benefit Plainfield High School-Central Campus at 7 p.m. April 27.

The family friendly event will be in the auditorium of Plainfield Central High School, 24120 Fort Beggs Drive.

Tickets are $10 online at Eventbrite.com. Tickets also will be sold at the door starting at 6 p.m.

Students from PHSCC, Plainfield East High School, Indian Trail, and John F. Kennedy and Timber Ridge middle schools will perform a variety of percussion pieces including drumline music, solos and percussive comedy.

A free percussion petting zoo will be before the concert from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the school’s media center.

Adults and kids can play the instruments, talk to the directors and performers.

The PHSCC band boosters also will host a raffle with items including a 50-inch television, airline gift card and gift baskets.

Event proceeds will help replace the high school’s aging percussion equipment.
