C+R research recently surveyed 2,000 Americans over the age of 21 who identify as regular alcohol drinkers. Here’s what they found:
• 49% of Americans drink craft beer at once least a week and 91% prefer craft beer over big brand beer
• The most preferred style of craft beer is still IPA and craft beer is most preferred during the summer.
• 76% of Americans says price does not influence whether they purchase craft beer. The average monthly spend on craft beer is $59.
• The top 5 factors driving craft beer’s growth are: taste, quality, craft beer culture, growth of breweries and higher alcohol content.
