A Joliet man was arrested by police on probable cause of endangering the life and health of a child, reckless driving and aggravated assault, according to Joliet Police Department arrest records.
Oscar Delgado-Valdez, 24, of the first block of North Center Street was later charged in Will County court with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident after his arrest Tuesday, according to court records.
Delgado-Valdez did not appear to be charged in court with aggravated assault or endangering the life and health of a child as of Wednesday.
Joliet police Sgt. Christopher Botzum would not provide information about Delgado-Valdez’s arrest.
About 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Delgado-Valdez was arrested by Joliet police on probable cause of endangering the life and health of a child, reckless driving and three counts of aggravated assault.
He was arrested at North Center and Oneida streets, according to the arrest records. He was released on his own recognizance and was scheduled to appear in court June 11.
Delgado-Valdez later was charged in Will County court with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident, according to court records.
On Dec. 28, 2015, Delgado-Valdez was cited by Joliet police and charged with driving on a suspended license. On Aug. 23, 2016, he pleaded guilty to the charge.
He was sentenced to two years court supervision, 100 hours of public service and fined $700.
On Sept. 29, 2014, Delgado-Valdez was charged with improper turn signal, squealing tires and improper passing on the left. On Oct. 28, 2014, he pleaded guilty to improper turn signal and improper passing on the left.
