A crash on the eastbound Interstate 80 bridge over the Des Plaines River snarled morning commuters’ traffic Thursday morning in Joliet.
One vehicle appeared to be facing west in the left lane about 8 a.m. Thursday, and fire and police crews were blocking most lanes of eastbound traffic.
The crash involved a semitrailer and two cars, Joliet Fire Deputy Chief Greg Blaskey said.
Two people asked to be transported to an area hospital for evaluation, but no injuries were reported.
Motorists appeared to be backed up to Interstate 55.
Illinois State Police could not immediately provide more information Thursday about how the crash occurred.
