On May 8, Connor Wrigley received an academic scholarship award from the Frankfort Township Republican Organization.

Connor received the award at  Lincoln-Way East Senior Scholarship Night Award Ceremony at Lincoln-Way East High School based on his essay he submitted about immigration.

The Frankfort Township Republican Organization Scholarship fund, for the tenth year since its start, offers financial assistance to two high school seniors living in our community.  A scholarship is awarded annually to one student graduating from Lincoln-Way East and one from Lincoln-Way Central.

Laura Miroballi, chairman of the Frankfort Township Republican Organization, presented the $1,000 scholarship.

The scholarship award money will be sent to Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa where Connor will be attending in the fall.  Connor is the son of Tim and Cathy Wrigley, who reside in Frankfort.
