Joliet Junior College to hold culinary camp for teens

The Culinary Camp for Teens at Joliet Junior College is for high school students who want to learn how to prepare and present artful meals.

Students will learn safe knife skills, how to roast, grill and braise meats as well as pastry techniques.

Additionally, students will have the opportunity to receive world-class instruction from JJC's award-winning executive chefs: certified master chef Tim Bucci and executive pastry Chef Andy Chlebana, who has won baking competitions on the Food Network.

The Culinary Camp for Teens meets 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 15 to 18 at JJC’s City Center Campus at 235 N. Chicago St. in downtown Joliet.

Camp cost is $299 and includes a chef coat.
