A lottery ticket worth $250,000 was recently sold at a Lockport gas station.
The Speedway, located at 1004 E. Ninth St., sold a winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket in the Saturday evening drawing that matched the winning numbers of 13-16-21-26-28 to win the jackpot, according to a news release from the Illinois Lottery.
"The Illinois Lottery urges the lucky winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until they visit one of the Lottery’s five Prize Centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights," according to the release.
Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize.
Within the same drawing, more than 17,000 prizes were awarded from the Lucky Day Lotto.
